Default ebay scam???

I got this e-mail askin for credit card info to clearify with ebay because of scams. It seems fucked up because I got it in my gmail account, when my gmail isnt even a registered email I have with ebay.

anyone else getting this ---- or is it just a scam? I have never gotten anything like this with gmail before.

email reads:
Because of the high credit card fraud we need you to place the credit or debit card you have used at registration again on file.

To confirm the credit card details, just click the button below:

(button)

at the bottom:

I never click an offered button ( May be a redirect that looks real but may not be.).
You can always log on to ebay the normal way and update your account.
