you can pick them up for around 3500 if you look good and a lot less if they have minor damage.i learned how to ride on my gsxr600..its got a 8" stretch so it forced me to slow down in corners to learn..and kept the front wheel on the ground..now im feening for a stock swingarm..and maybe a turbo setup in the future..or a gsxr1000 motor since it fits right in my frame

I'm partial to a 600rr/f41 too...
Just ride them both and decide which one you like better. The specs on the bikes are pretty damn close to one another and you'll probably never use them to their fullest potential anyways, so just see which one you prefer and get it.

ok liter bike are not as heavy as you might think and combersome. I have road both. now days the weight difference is like what 5 or 10 lbs. you won't notice that. I took my brother inlaw's yzf r1000 and rode it a bit. thing handled simalar to mine and not as agile. but that was 200lbs heavier then mine due to it being a 97. after I think 2000 bikes started to be close to the same weight. but a 1000cc bike is deadly to a beginer especially mountians. tend to weelie out of a turn and get ya. 600's just pull thru,

i saw a 92 cbr600 on ebay with 123k miles on now ------- tell me that isnt reliable ??
