I'm looking to get a bike in the semi near future.... It'll be my first bike so I'm looking for a 600 because it's a good beginner intermediate size. the two bikes I am looking at are the gsxr and the cbr 600.

From what I've read the gsxr got better ratings but I think its only a 1 seater... just looking for opinions... 2002 gsxr 600 vs cbr 600?

Go 600cc if you live in the mountains. Go liter bike if you are a flatlander. ---- the ----- ----.

get the suzuki...best bikes on earth..i have a 2000 gsxr 600 myself..and ------ LOVE it

To a beginner, both bikes will feel basically the same. Along with provide similar performance. Both are great bikes, just buy the one you think looks better.

If you decide on the CBR, jump ahead a year and go with an '03 model.

'03 is possible too.. I'm just seeing what I can find for around 3500.. i'm in no rush to buy. are the gsxrs 2 seaters?

Yes, you can have a passenger on the gsxr but you'll have to replace the plastic seat cowl. Notice the passenger pegs...

good question..i got my bike for 2500, and he had the cover and the seat with it..so that im not sure on. mine was white and blue too..nice color scheme..but i painted mine this winter.

I'm partial to my 03 600rr blast on the straigts and even a absolute beginer can ride these things hard into a turn. frist night on it with less then 40miles on it since I picked it up I had the thing over I would say 45 degree angle. a couple times. I hear they will run around 170mph too. I woosed out so far at 150 you can pick them up for around 3500 if you look good and a lot less if they have minor damage.
