Dynoed my dads car @ 17 psi

If you manage to blow an engine on a 4th gear roller pull, that engine was never meant to be anyway.
Hell an engine that blows on a quarter mile run (which is considerably longer than most dyno pulls) is definitely poorly built.

there is a lot more cylinder pressure lugging the engine through 4th on a load dyno, than bangin gears at high rpm

exactly, its way different then on the road. the dyno rollers are 2000lbs each. thats like trying to move a 4000lb car. when the 4dr only weighs 2200

even still the tires probably would hold in 4th. that they didnt in 3rd is not a surprise.

I know for sure it would hold in 4th. but i'm not going to stress the motor like that for some numbers to impress someone. I might hit up the dyno pack and finish the tuning there.
