Ok I have a JVC DV camcorder. It was cheap. Only like $349. Anyway I need to get the video off the tape and onto my computer. So what type of connection do I get. It has a 4 pin DV out(Which is firewire I would think) and it has USB but that is only for still pictures. If I buy this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815104226 Will it work for me. The kit comes with the firewire to PCI adapter card and the 6pin to 4 pin cable for my camcorder. Anything else I need? I was going to use the Movie software in XP.

are you sure you can't transfer it through the firewire cable? isn't there a SD card that you remove and place in a dock for the pictures?

yeah Dave that should work fine.. basicly the same thing i got for my computer, i just went and got it at Circuit City and payed a bit more for it.

thats an awesome deal though if it comes with the editing software, fire wire, and card. go for it

i order all my computer parts for customers from newegg or zipzoomfly...

if it doesnt work newegg will be more than happy to try and make it right
