Brown writes, at best, simple formulaic primers for the modern generation of functional illiterate. His writing goes down easy but lacks substance. The movie shows the monotony of the plot to good effect. It is no wonder this book was a best seller, in a country of fat overweight illiterates...

Re: The Duh Vinci Code
The book was good, all the "facts" are made up, well the buildings are there, the knights templar where there, and other things.
The assumption that Jesus had a kid, is well, a story made up. The Gospels they refer to, where not written by contemporaries of Jesus, or anyone that was there, like the other Gospels. Those are stories written years later after all the people living with Jesus where dead, therefor they cannot be verified or accepted as a gospel of his followers.
The Langdon character in the book is very interesting, the book is entertaining, but fiction. People that don't know any better will believe in anything they are presented with, as long as it is presented in some type of credible way. The book was awesome, and interesting read, at least entertaining.
The movie, they changed a lot of the way the book plays out, the ending was horrible. If you liked the movie, read the book. Angels and Demons is better than Da Vinci, it's another story of the same character Robert Langdon. Again it is all made up, but it's entertaining.
Critics suck ***, they almost never get it right, I never really pay attention to what they say, Pootie Tang is awesome lol, but this time they do have it right.
oh and remember, the mind lets you see what it wants to see, in other words, if you look at a stain in your wall and think it's an image of Jesus, your mind might let you see a Jesus Stain, when really is just a water stain.

I'm telling you, people will believe anything. We can now come up with a story saying that a book from the first century says that there where fish people living in the seas. People will believe it without doing any research or even thinking about how stupid some things are.
Oh well, :1 :1

Movie wasn't worth paying 9 bucks to see, maybe if I had been able to sneak in beer...

Re: The Duh Vinci Code
ppl say the book is "fiction", which I beleive entirely. But, what makes you beleive the bible is fact? Blind faith. I dont have that. Dont know that I ever will. I used to have it when I was younger and impressionable, but now, I just cant beleive something that has no real evidence to support it, and that goes against everything science has to say.
