Ive had more than my fair share of time in and underneath dsm's, csm's, and quite a few other mitsu born platforms. Thanks for the suggestions though.

A colt with a 4g64 and 1g 4g63 head under pressure would be the nog's meow. But a 4g15t would make for a nasty little grocery-getter.

I think there are a few 4G64's in the yard at the PickAPart in Knoxville. If they are like the 4G61 or 4G63 they drop right in bolting to the stock trans you just have to fab the engine side mount.

I let the oil go a little low some 4 months or something back and spun a rod bearing. My fault. Lack of maint and a ---- oil pan w/o a baffle raped me. $150 later and i'm back in the game. I dont have a 4g63t but i do have a stout iron block and a decent flowing head with a transmission that can take some abuse. Clutch sucks but the trans is stout. I ran my old one without changing the fluid ever. All the syncros ---- out and then it wouldn't stay in 5th. I drove it like that for a year (5th gear made me buy a new one though). When we pulled the drain plug, it was BONE DRY. I dont know how long it was without fluid. For some reason, the lightbulb didn't go off when we changed axles and no fluid came out.
Gotta keep the car up. I'm lazy/always in a rush and i paid for it, atleast 4 times with my car. Never again.
My friend bobby has his gst for about 3 months before it started showing symtoms of crankwalk. He never checked the oil or trans fluid and beat on it constantly. He always stayed in boost, even in reverse. Then his brother ron wrecked it into a gaurdrail. Bobby responded by wrecking ron's kia/hyundai gay ---- into a high curb not even a week later.
Never let friends drive your car, especially if it's boosted.
