Default Drag Racing Question about Delay Boxes (I need to know the rules) Important!

Ok, tonight I'm taking the hatch down the 1320 for the first time. The track I'm going to has a no delay box rule. Would my launch control count as a delay box? It's programmed into my ecu.

Delay boxes are for when you run in a ----- class (like super comp) Basically, every car has the same dial in, say 10.00 sec. When your a bitch, you get an 8.00 second car and during your run you have your delay box set to "delay" for 2 seconds helping you to cheat and run exactly 10.00 seconds. The stupidest thing I've ever seen is a class full of dragsters that cut the power off during the start of a race.
Where I come from, a race is a race, not a battle of electronics. ---- super comp. :P

No, delay boxes are for when you run a trans brake, and lets you react off of the first amber light you see in a sportsman tree (three lights at .5 second intervals). It has been proven that the reaction time from the first light you see is much better than trying to time your launch off of the third light.

So you can set the trans brake delay at 1.5 seconds and release the button at the first light. The delay box has nothing to do with your ET, just your RT, and are not legal in sportsman class, last I looked.

Maybe so, but whatever that thing is that cuts the throttle in super comp cars is, I hate that. And the stupid thing is, nobody actually has a ***** out car that runs the class dial in, they all are faster. :P It doesn't seem like too much of a race to me.
I can't see the point in trying to electronically cheat the tree either. Wait till the green light like everyone else and go. That would be in the "Driving Skill" catagory.
