Dr.Boost goes B series

Re: Dr.Boost goes B series
Actually, they aren't fragile... exactly... Honduh kept fluid pressures low in them. Due to design, a higher pressure would extend longevity and relative strength, at the expense of shift quality. Unless they wanted to spend more $ on the valvebody to allow pressure + smooth shifting.

if you don't like the harsh shift on the teg, you can try to disconnect the battery and let the computer do a relearn process on how your gf driving. from what my instructor told me if you can feel the shift, the less wear you have which you get a longer life with the clutches.

Re: Dr.Boost goes B series
It doesn't work that way, at least on this era Honduh autos. The fluid pressures are NOT computer controlled, they have a couple stupid shift solenoids that get switched based on TCU's decision of optimum based on engine rpm and load indicated by MAP. A Honduh transmission shifts like a Honduh transmission shifts like a...

Yeah, this tranny shifts like ----. If you try to manualy shift into second and third it shifts about 10 seconds after you actually shift the lever. :1 When it does shift it actually breaks the tires loose going into second which really surprised me. My old Accord was the same way with the harsh shifting, but it NEVER broke the tires loose. I really hate auto trannies.
