i'm planning on doing the swap..
but i hvae an automatic 89 LX

would i have to find an automatic EX
or can i use any d16 motor and use those parts?

i dont know as much as jeff and them but im sure the only diff from auto to standard is just the trannys everything else should be the same and the ecu's so youll prolly need the ecu from an auto si..

if they didn't i have to find an auto 91 EX then =*(

an EX in the states is exactly the same as a canadian SI, and the canadian SIR is the same as the american SI, thats what the guys at honde here told me anyways, so yes there is automatic SI's

Auto Civic Wagon 4wd... it has the PM6 auto..

i have a 4dr...

EX = top of the line 4dr
there are no Si 4drs...
EX is esentially the Si in Sedan form

for the EF's.. the only cars that differ are the CX HB caues you have the STD and the HF.. we don't get those... but is also the same car
DX LX EX is the trim levels in Sedans here in canada and we only got the Si HB

only cars in canada that came with MPFI D16 are
HB Si
CRX Si
EX 4dr
AWD WAGON

i don't think there's a auto Si HB or CRX but there are auto 4dr and wagon but the wagon = impossible to find =*(
