Well maybe we should kill any and all hungry animals to avoid this type of situation. We should ban cars while we're at it since they've killed more people than any living or non-living thing that ever existed. We should also ban rubberbands because I'm sure there have been children killed by them on at least one occasion. Ummm......cough drops, no more of those because I know I've heard of at least a couple people that have died from choking on those.....

Dogs are domesticated animals. The VAST majority were bred with certain characteristics 'kept' specificly. In essence, its basicly the fault of the past breeders as well as the current owner for the vicisous characteristics showing through. If your pit attacks another living thing for whatever reason, its because of your dumb *** didn't train it.

As far as the pitbull itself, very few dogs bite like a pit. Virtually all other dogs will bite, release, bite, release, etc; but pitbulls bite and clamp. They also have heads and jaws designed to do so, and body movements designed to rip chunks of flesh off. You can't dodge the fact that pitbulls were engineered to be vicsious animals. When the majority of bites that result in chunks of flesh being removed from arms/legs/torsos are from pitbulls, its hard to call that an accident concerning genetics.

That said, its like the saying "Guns don't kill people, people kill people". Pits were designed to kill, but its essentially the owner that indirectly kills from a lack of proper training.
