Looks like they used a big sander to deck it.

I prefer it to be done on some sort of milling machine, bridgeport or regular surfacing machine.

P2V looks fine from here.

Are you worried about the clearance of the valves to the side of the valve reliefs in the piston?

I was worried about side clearance. Two people I trust have seen it and they say it's fine. So I'm going with it.
