Does this scare anybody else?
I was assembling my 4age last night and noticed this scratch. It's not deep enough to catch your fingernail on but you can feel it. Am I worried about nothing here?
One machine shop resurface the head and I thought they sucked so I took my stuff elsewhere. A second machine shop bored the cylinders. He wanted to resurface the deck but asked that I check valve to piston clearance first. I did and felt sick to my stomach. I took the assembled block to him and he said its's fine a proceeded to resurface the deck. I took these pics last night when I rechecked valve clearance. It's not touching, but it's only the width of a sheet of paper from the piston.
Am I being paranoid as usual or does someone see anything wrong here.

That isnt going to cause you any problems. If it doesnt catch your fingernail you have nothing to worry about.
The valve clearance is typical after the head is decked. Set your timing right and dont worry about it. Follow the book and you will have no problems.
