I thought it was a bad idea... The Energy Suspension kit only comes with lower and rear inserts anyway. You could have done that for half of what it's costing you now in 1/3 the time.

Anyway, I break ---- because I never have the right tool. But I'vce since learned buying the right tool is always cheaper in the long run

next time you remove it, pull the nut off then thread it back on leaving a space of 1/4" to 1/2" inch between the nut and Lower control arm Then beat the **** out of it. that way when you hit the bolt you wont f the threads up, thats how i do it anyways. on the Tie rod/steering arm too.

It seems like everyone is giving you advice. I have the same experiences. My castle nut on my ball joint stripped wheni tried to take it off with impact so now it's on there for life. It has taken me up to an hour to get my "bitch pin" out, those suck. And on my buddy's B16 we gave up on it too because it just didn't want to come out. When I lowered my car I snapped two bolts in the rear trying to get the stock strut out, had to replace the whole assembly. I always make sure I have like $50-100 extra before performing a big project because I know stuff is going to happen.

Kevin, no ------ rigging on the ball joint, just replace it. There are some things that I wouldnt recommend doing half *** jobs on.

when i pulled out my tranny.. both my lower ball joints broke. the boots ripped on them from the ball joint remover. i found the best tool for that is a tie rod remover. its like a C clamp with the screw in the center. it doesnt rip the boots..
stupid ball joints

---- a ball joint seperator. I use a socket, a jack, and a big ------- hammer to the control arm. Loosen the castle nut, stick a socket on it, lower the car onto the socket(don't put the entire weight of the car on it, dumbass), wack the control arm with a hammer like it drank your last beer and fucked your girlfriend while you went to the store to get more beer. The uppers are a bit different, but I've never had my *** kicked by the uppers.
