Is that the 2.2 SOHC in the caravan? Those are some of the strongest chrylser motors, that in the 2.5 (which is the stroked version). Check out any of the crappy T3 turbocharged lebarons and daytonas, those things can haul some ***. ------- K cars, ugly as hell but fast as ----.

Really? We just got rid of an Acclaim with a 2.2, maybe I should go steal it back, it needed to much for inspection.. I was going to use it as my guinea-pig turbo project.

Wanna talk about ugly? My neighbor is buying a Dodge Rampage and sticking an old Turbo Daytona engine in it.

It's those factory turbo'd 2.2L dodge motors that can handle a beating, check out www.thedodgegarage.com they have some insane projects going on there.

4g63 nope no swap - it would be a major deal - 420a engine is in the gs eclipse, talon, sebring, and avenger. and has the exhaust in the front on the engine. Neon engine is called something else can't remember right now. to swap a 4g63 you would need to fabricate everything from scratch and have the computer and harness etc. Oh yeah and a sledge hammer. most people swap a 2.4 dodge engine.

there are people getting 280whp with stock internals. I didn't get over 225whp before I spun a bearing. I have done 3 neons if you need any tips. I am N/A for now at 160whp man what a difference!

I also have any neon flanges you would need. Header exhaust etc. and lots of pics of how piping is run. You don't have to move the battery but it makes it easier. you just cut a hole in the front of the battery tray for the piping from the intercooler to the TB. And run the other one under the Tranny.

I sew this link a couple of days ago..it is a 10sec streetable SOHC ATX neon.

Good luck with selling it on ebay, put some racing stripes and mesh grille on it and it will sell faster, I guarantee it.

Also, be sure to post the address when you do, I'll help you out and bid a couple times.

stock headgaskets were graphite type single layer - once you change to the new mls type no problem. They didn't start making the new type until late 99 dodge fixes them for the price of a coolant flush and oil change even out of warranty.

Aha! S4RE (SOHC, 4-valve, Rear-Exhaust). Some say the blocks are identical and Mistubishi just turned the head 180-degrees, but wtf do I know :P
