Not totally do it yourself but for the cost I may dive into it. Anyone have any experince who have dealt with them. Its a reach but hey its worth a try. They are local to me so I may just check out in person.

Im gonna wait for JD to do a a nice post

Cool that is pretty affordable. You do alot of head porting?I would actually try some if I had a flowbench to verify I was making gains.

I'd say making a flow bench out of a $30 set of plans and a bunch of old vacuum sweepers is pretty damn DIY.
If I had any use for one I'd be all over that.

I really don't think I'd pay near 1k for something literally using a bunch of old sweepers. If you look at the pics you can almost figure out their design. Just cause they replaced a couple parts with cnc machined parts I don't think the value would increase more than the machining parts. It's still an unknown reliability and accuracy home built job. So if I built it myself for next to nothing, sure. If I had to pay for it and needed higher accuracy, Id look for somethig more professional. That's my .02

There are a bunch of inexpensive setups in that pricerange, I think some of them are a little better buy. I found a place that had a lot of customer and offsite feedback... might try to see what they guys on the speedtalk forum have to say aout the subject, I think that was where I was getting the offsite feedback.

maybe I'm retarded, but what about a reverse flow flowmeter? Apply a constant pressure to the intake side and measure flowrate with a hotwire MAF. You may not be able to compare your numbers to data from another flow bench, but it would do well for measuring improvement. Plus the only parts you need are an air compressor w/ regulator, an old manifold, a hot wire MAF & simple controller, and some random tubes.
