i always thought of making the hood pop from my alarm (so you cant pop it fast and cut the battery cables)
and hiding extra cables from the battery in the passenger compartment in case the batter dies

Im lucky to have a 1994 del sol. 95+ have trunk release cable, mines doesn't.
Im just putting a big ------- switch for the fuel pump into the trunk which is only accessible by key. can't do ---- to open it without one.
Another great anti-theft is putting power door locks + a good alarm that has hidden siren and it's own battery. Cut the rod that goes to your door handle to lock/unlock the door manually.
Im also putting rear door handles off a 4dr eg onto my del sol. (no key holes) since 99% of older Hondas can be opened with another old honda key.

even if they open the door with another key or pop the hood, alarm will go on until they find the backup battery

anyone and i mean ANYONE with a civic or del sol or integra should take off the column cover and look on the LEFT HAND SIDE
there is something directly oppisite of the ignition... its got 2 screws on it... take some jb weld and coat and i mean ------- COAT THAT BITCH so they cant get a screw driver to take the 2 screws off..

that way no more 3 minute car jackings.. heck even rough up the screw head a little so jb weld gets in there good

and yeah i posted a hmt gps tracker thrread.. works great for my car

Put your car in your home.

This kind of thread should be stickied! It's useful. Or make a better one with no interactions between members but a lot of info about security.

Drive a gay, seemingly stock turbo miata. Nobody ***** with your ----.

Leave a few empty ammo boxes in the car and empty shells in the floorboard. That will make anyone second-guess themselves.

Any wiring ---- you change can be reversed. I rewired my car completely. Not that I have any anti-theft switches, but if I did, the thief wouldn't have a clue what any of the wiring goes to anyways, so they wouldn't be able to figure ---- out.

I do like the idea of a timer circuit to the fuel pump. But hide the timer circuit 100%. IE- have it interrupt the circuit somewhere out of sight and access, not a wire stuck in where the fuse goes or under the dash next to the ECU. Discreet and have a momentary switch that bypasses it till it power cycles. Have to hide the momentary switch though. I'd recess it into the body so that pushing on the carpet in some discreet area pushes the button.

Or they'll think there's a gun in the car they can steal.
