My buddy just got a really decent HP laptop from BestBuy for 750, I'm really impressed with it for the price he paid.

Dude, get the .torrent for TinyXP rev05, it rules and will make your PC so snappy.

I couldn't find my rev05 CD when my /SYSTEM hive file went and got itself fucked last night, so I stepped back to rev03, and while still pretty quick on this old P3 it's not 100% happiness.

You completely left out win 2K Pro. Now that was an OS. Used it for a good long while before making the venture into XP land. I'll be looking into teh TinyXP. Ever heard of Bart PE? torrent it, then burn it and if you have a comp that will boot from CD you get straight System privileges in a Geoshell/XP like environment.

TinyXP rev05 > Win2K Pro/Server for the 82810E chipset P3 I'm running. I had an 866EB before with a couple flavors of Windows on it, higher end Tyan Tiger 133 motherboard too. The current rig is just a HP E-Vectra C10 book computer packaged to be small, not fast.
