the answer is yes you can take it to the one thats 15 minutes away. all the sales files are on a server so that any dealer can access it. have fun......

So you get a better deal at the other dealership on the car, but get your maint/svc work done at the closer one?

you are a bastard.

you can take it anywhere you want, or do it yourself. Just gotta keep the reciepts. Just make sure you do it, I just did a service on an 03 er 04 Matrix that was 18k over and the lady was pissed when we told her she voided her waranty.

Hahaha, dealership savvy right there

Here's the deal yo, dealerships cater to people who bought from them, and go out of their way to punish people who didn't buy from them. From the service manager on down, you'll get the run-around every time you want something done. About the only time they'll give you a break is if you bring it in for a 30k maintenance package or something. But if you keep bringing the car in for crappy 10min warranty jobs i gaurantee you they'll schedule your appt. like a month out or something.

Sorry, but that's the way it works.

He's pretty much right, unless the service manager is the ---- like myself....first visit, bring coffee to the advisor you will be dealing with, he will love you and give great service from there on out. Just shoot the ---- with him and tell him you tried hard to buy there but the sales dept. were a bunch of dingbats, most service dept dont get along with their sales dept so bashing is good.....thas bout it, and yah, make sure maint is done as well as warr ---- so they dont bitch. Last but not least most gm dealers offer the service advisor some form of bonus based on the warr questionair you may get in teh mail, assuming it's teh same one we get here in Canada question 16 is teh important one, always fill it out completly satisfied, that brings teh store csi up and the service dept will get to see it so they know who is a bitch and who gives them great marks....When i was on the desk at a gm store we got 50$ for each survey that had that question filled out completely satisfied. So yah...that was my rant on how to have a great dealer relationship for many years....unless your a gook, then your fucked no matter what you do.....

When i worked at the Polaris/Bombardier dealership. We didn't give a damn if people bought from us or not, when it came to warranty work. Although we gave priority to customers who did.
