Rm's don't seem to hold ---- for value. Topends are cheap and easy to rebuild. I bought a new cylinder, piston, rings, rod bearing and all gaskets for less than $500. Made my bike feel like brand new again, nice and crisp.
I'm not familiar with RM's so I'm not sure what kind of cylinders they use. If it's not nickel you might be able to just bore it over and slap a new piston/rings in it.

Well right now, yeah. Everything is tanking in value. Even when times were good they didn't seem to be worth a ----, even fairly new ones. I'm not hating on them as I have no personal experience with them. A few friends of mine have had them and I took them for rides. I didn't like the ride position on them and it seemed like the front end had pogo sticks for shocks.
