Pop the hood and start cutting wires... you will eventually find the right one. I am no expert though.

sorry... yeah don't listen to what I say.

i went past 120mph, which is like 200+ kph with my d16a6, and stayed at 6000rpm the whole time, my car is stupid fast when i'm going on the highway, but i only ran 15.9 in the 1/4, i want to be doing high 13's when i get the turbo in.

Check out locashracing.com....I think he can just take out the speed limiter for pretty cheap. He works pretty closely with Hasport. If you call them, he is usually there. But I can't for the life of me remember his name. Just ask for the Locash racing guy and he'll hook you up. It sucks waiting for your ECU to get back, but he should be able to do what you want. Pretty cheap too! (like $50) HASPORT (602)470-0065......Opps! I just read that again. I didn't see that it's a 1998 (OBD 2). I don't think he can do anything for you, but it's still worth a try

there has to be some way to trick the ecu. I know I could just unplug the sensor from the tranny, but then my speedometer would not work. is there any way to bypass the ecu? like wire the speed sensor directly to the speedometer and not through the ecu. altough if the ecu doesnt get a speed reading will the car run a.f.u.? the feilds sfc-vtec controller has settings to turn off the speed cut. but when I switched the speed cut off on my 94 civic(before I reliezed it didn't have a speed cut off) my speedometer didn't work. I don't know if thats the way it works or if something was just messed up.
