$2.72 for regular at our station in Columbia, MD. The highest I ever saw is when I was going to school in the Chicago area in '99,during the breif shortage that happened then. It was like $2.78 for 87.

For real, this all started in winter of 99/00. It "jumped" up from $1.20 to $1.45. Since then it pretty much goes up, then comes down a little, then goes up, comes down a little. Theres been days where its jumped .20 cents. I've said it the whole time too, we were conditioned to accept the change.

It wouldn't be so frustrating if the public knew exactly why its going up. Its always lame *** excuses like more people are driving, its driving season, ect. Some where in a dark board room under a mountain this was planed.

one thing that i dont understand is why the prices of diffrent grades of gas stay at a gap of 10 cents greater for each jump in grade of octane. shouldent it be on a slope? and not binded to the constant 10 cents. but more of a variable number or atleast a percentage?

I cant even go to another city without filling up twice here . Houston,tx is around 2.45, i remember when gas lingered so long around 80-99 cents/gal.

Lots of things keep rising except paychecks. Gas when I was 19 was 1.20-1.30 that was 5 years ago. Oh well Im sure by xmas we will be at 3.50+ on the west coast hoooray.
