14x1.50mm is the correct tap. they also make an oversized 14x1.50 tap and oversized plug. In my 4 years at jiffy lube i can usually salvage the original threads and pop a new dp and crush washer. sometimes i'll oversize it but rarely. When all else fails, you can replace the oil pan i suppose. Good luck.

when my oil pan drain plug thread stripped.
i spent about 1.5hour welding the hole shut,
tapped the hole and treated it with some high temp RTV silicone on the inside/outside.
didn't leak for the past 2 years
