Default d15b2 power?

ok, so i'm completley new to the honda's, been studying up as much as possible. I'm running and 89 civic 4 door. as far as i can tell its a b15b2 motor, I know its stock so if I'm wrong about please tell me. the question I have ie s what everyone here would do from the begining...I'm on a very small budget as well, 11 dollars an hour paying 675 a month rent, supporting me and my fiance who doesnt have a job, do the math and you'll realize i'm strapped for cash. I'm really looking to do motor work now, till i know more about turo's... I hear my rods are week so i know I want to change them out...and my friend told me I can use a vtec head on my block...and what could i use instead of that shitty plastic intake manifold, I hate the idea of plastic breaking and going into my motor...sorry for rambling

also, I live in puyallup washington, anyone nearby who wouldnt mind someone tagging along on an instal or somthing that would be cool, want to learn as much as possible from real world experience, not just reading what other people did and trying to imitate it...

so on with the "your a stupid noob" coments and what not.

Vtec head would work, but that block sucks.

I'd say buy a Vtec engine (say, d16z6), turbo your current piece. If it blows who cares, slap in the z6

And welcome BTW.

D16A1 (89 and under Integra) Rods and pistons for a much better CR if you want to make more power, throw on the VTEC head and you will have a fairly quick all motor D15 hybrid.

why not use GSR rods hell if its gonna be a complete custom built bottom end might as well use some aftermarket rods........... if you where serious you need to research for yourself before giving advice out that completely wrong.

Giving out wrong advice? STFU you ------- retard, how do you expect to fit GSR rods on a D series engine? news flash ***, 89 and down integra engines were the same thing as a DOHC ZC pretty much it was a D series, oh and D15 aftermarket rods are rare and expensive because nobody build off a D15, and as for research I dont need any you dumb ----, this was something I have seen in person D16A1 pistons in a D15B
