yea i reset the ecu but i started her back up and she popped right on ... the code says its a un plugged or defective sensor .. so does this mean there is nothing wrong with the position of cyl. one .. its just the sensor ??

I dont think anything is wrong with your timing, just a fudged up sensor, its inside the distributor, a whole unit that has a 2 wires going to it (i think) there is 3 sensors, Cyp/Tdc and some third one, Go to the wreckers and get a new one if you can, I snuck mine out in my pocket...Its cheaper than buying a new Distributor.

These things go at the most random times, Mine went on a SOHC ZC the day I bought my car, right when I got to my city after a 120 mile drive.

The distributor components should be the same inside for all honda models 88-2000, right now i'm using an ignition coil in my B18 dizzy from my SOHC ZC dizzy, so i'm poretty sure the components were the same, dont quote me on that one though, I might be wrong.
