Definitly think I'm on a Z6 map with a center mounted dizzy on my EJ8. I know the whole timing thing too I've heard that, but my car doesn't overheat annnnnnd I actually can't remember the last time my fan kicked on.

Samson, have you checked timing with a timing light and service connector jumped?

When I did on my 90 crx with z6 bottom/y8 top I had to turn the dizzy almost all the way forward.

No, never. Like I said, I know the theory with the Y8 (head mostly) and I don't tune it and I have lots of faith in JK. I'll mention it to him because I should be out there next week for some tunage. I'll see what he has to say about manually clocking the dizzy. I'm trying to recall and I want to say I was Z6 map prior and now Y8 map, but I'm not 100%. Like I said, I'll talk to him and thanks for the advice.
