CRX "What do you use?"

Re: CRX "What do you use?"
I'm sorry dude, but you're hopeless. Look at all the money you want to spend in useless modifications. All that money could be put into putting to gether a decent turbo kit. If you can't figure that out or do some research on your own, you might as well go to H-T and never come back.

Re: CRX "What do you use?"
If you're really serious about a bodykit, then look at the mugen.. IMO its the cleanest looking one for crxs.. but you will soon learn that bodykits are worthless, all it does is attract the wrong kind of attention.. for that $400-500 you spent, it coulda easily gotten you a decent rebuilt turbo and manifold or intercooler.. if you don't know what a vx manifold and dsm sidemounts are then click on tech projects and turbo projects on the left of the screen.. you will learn mostly everything you need to know about piecing together your turbo kit..

Re: CRX "What do you use?"
Okay before everybody keeps flaming this guy, let's actually teach him something. He is a some local guy that bought a CRX and now he wants to know what to do with it. He obviously doesn't know jack about cars, so molding him into another honda-tech ricer hating home made building HMT local probably won't be that hard. I remember back in the day when I didn't know ---- and I thought a body kit would look cool.
First of all, you first goal should be to read the FAQ, don't worry so much about what you need, in time you will learn. If I was you with that car? I would start off with a very cheap turbo kit (DSM turbo, DSM bov, DSM intercooler, etc...), but you will want to focus on your fuel management the most (chipping your ECU is the way to go). You motor should be able to handle boost no problem (150-200whp will be fine).
Once you get that down, foucs on things that will make your car handle more power... You already mentioned suspension, H&R springs work and they are cheap, tokico or kyb struts work well. Forget about the body kit stuff, intake, and all that crap... they do nothing to make your car fast. You want you car looking clean, not ricey. You will want a clutch because the stock clutch won't be holding for that long when you start making good power. 3 inch exhaust is another thing I recommend, kteller is the brand of choice. Doing it cheap and well is how we do it here. Check out my setup if you want, everything is pretty cheap and I have made awesome numbers and times with my setup.
By this time you should have learned a little about turbos, then you can looking into swapping a b-series in and building a nice turbo kit for your car.

Re: CRX "What do you use?"
You will learn a lot by researching on your own. When trying to lookup one thing, you might learn 2 or 3 more differents things along the way. It will take some taime, but you will eventually get it. For the turbo kit just foucs on fuel management and getting your ECU chipped, you will need help on that, but it's the way to go. You can raid any DSM for the turbo parts and make it work. Exhaust, clutch, and suspension would be on my list as things you need as well. Should make your car pretty solid and fun to drive.

Re: CRX "What do you use?"
A crx is one of the sexyes cars ever built, if your boosting this car you should first buy a spare motor, its always nice to have and when u have time to find one u can get it cheaper then when u have to have one
