CRX vs. Z28
Alright guys.. i know this thread is dumb but i'm needing some opinions and thoughts on this matter. I got a guy who owns a 02' Z28 and he's all talkin ---- about hondas only because he's never owned one. So he's wanting to run my 88' DX CRX this summer for like 300 bucks at the track. Does anyone know what kinda quarter mile times he'd hit, and what I can do to the rex to beat his ***..lol because the dpfi natural aspiration isnt gonna cut it.

Re:CRX vs. Z28
my setup is stock for now.. 1.5l dpfi dude.. oh i got a huge *** magnaflow exhaust, and cai. but it came with the car.. i got an mpfi swap on the way and i've been fixing the body.. the crx was 200 bucks man i couldn't pass it up. 143,000 miles. 5-speed. I've been really looking into a built d-series from DH-racing.. they seem like they have some well built products and i'd feel more comfortable boosting something like that.

I'd go with a nice B series setup. I got love for the D's but B's definitely own them.

Thats me racing a buddies Z28 w/ a 60shot. He use to run high 12's.
That was back in the day with my turbo ls/vtec, and boost was cranked up to around 12-13psi. So roughly 280ish whp.
A 1.5l dpfi aint gonna cut it. Maybe slap a vtec head on, a good clutch and a good HMT kit. Depending on how good you can drive you may dip into the low 13's or high 12's. Basically its going to take about 225+ whp to beat him.
