ok, 1990 CRX si with i/h/e. down a slight hill i hit the stock rev limiter (7200ish) in fifth gear. the speedo was buried. anyone have any idea how fast that might be?

I hit 112 in a 90 DX and about died.

I'd guess about 125, maybe less lol.

damn, 112? i hit 125 in my 90 dx and the speedo needle stopped moving(thats the highest mph on my speedo). im guessing i was doing about 130. being in vegas, i have access to LONG roads in the middle of the desert to do stupid ---- . this was with my stock dx motor before i swapped it out(couldn't handle 92 hp anymore... :P). at the time, the only "mod" i had was an intake, and not even a cold air one... and NOTHING else. that was when i first bought the car, i was 16 and a dumbass just wanting to see how fast i could top my car out at...

7200 in 5th, its been awhile but Im pretty sure that puts you at 133-135.

Not bad. My 91si stock would only hit about 6500-6700 on level ground. 125-128

The boosted B16 w/LS tranny has been to an indicated (EDM cluster) 145 and was climbing fast..

Damn you better be having more then I/H/E, what about brakes/2x stiffer rear springs/real shocks/Z rated tires.....The CRX in stock form tends to "lift" over 100mph meaning the back end actually lightens up and floats. It makes it real easy for the back end to become the front.

I guess when you are young you dont really care about that...I did it too (125 in a ZC and a TALL hf 5th) Just wanted to say be carefull. God I cant beleive I actually wrote this I AM getting old

My ex had an HKS stage 3 Supra TT that I drove past the 150 mark, the scary thing about that is it still was pulling, and felt like it was doing about 80mph, damn rich girls, thing's probably wraped around a tree somewhere.
