that was before he could get online from his phone. He has been on CC 24/7 for months and it's just weird that he is gone.

do not cancel your card because it will kill your score. just cut it and dont use it. Im a loan officer. I deal with credit all the time.

yeah, i got a MAC tools credit card with a $1500 limit to start...then no one else would give me anything. Capital One gave me $500, and if you pay everything on time for 3 months, dont go over your limit, and use it within 90 days...they bump it to $750.

I never buy anything unless I have the money, or know I will well before the bill comes. I just wait until the bill comes in the mail, then pay it online.

I honestly have no idea about the actual rules of what helps and hurts your credit score....but what ive heard is that things are changing. It used to be bad to have several cards with nothing on them, and high limits. But now it actually helps, because other companies see that you can be trusted, because you dont max out your cards the second you receive them. i dont know. credit cards suck, but you cant do much of anything without credit history and a decent credit score.
