Re: credit question
If that's the only/last negative item on your report and it does infact drop off(you might have to call/write letters/bitch/complain) your score will jump quite a bit. Having 10 old negative items on your credit report has near the same effect as having 1 negative item and deleting 9 of them won't help your score much.
If this repo is old enough to be dropping off(depending on your state, but usually 7 years)it shouldn't have much of an effect on your credit decision. I know things have tightened down quite a bit, but back in the day(last year)they were approving people with charge-offs, repos, BK's, collections, you name it.
As long as all of your recent ---- is straight and you aren't showing any signs of ------- up, it shouldn't be a problem.
Also, ---- a down payment. Put as LITTLE as possible down. They will make it happen. Everybody who is to gain from your sale will make sure of it. The owner of the home you're buying will bend over backwards and suck your **** while slipping 20's in your pocket. Take advantage of the situation.

Re: credit question
lol when I bought my house the owner put something stupid like $8k down for us just to close the deal. We didn't really put down ----. If I remember right it was like $1500 TOTAL and that was with the $550 inspection. Our first payment wasn't due for like 2 months and we had a shitload of money in the bank that we thought we needed for a downpayment, but ended up keeping for upgrades.
