The last way i would want to try to gain horsepower is by stripping my crank of oil. I'd rather have extra oil on there to make sure the bearings are properly lubricated, than not have enough. Doesnt seem practical or worth the risk.

I've seen them used in some high horsepower NA applications. But the scraper usually has a teflon edge and is usually not bolted to the mains like in those pictures.

Something that close to the crank better be high quality and well made, if it hits your crank then it could be all over.

I'll see if I can find some more info on these.

Agreed w/ the bone, I was going to try to make some because they DO work. I was also going to have my welding buddy (since I cant) take a spare oil pan, cut the sump area, enlarge it (to 4.5-5qt capacity), baffle it, and do a crank scraper. I figure its a spare pan, and more oil capacity means cooler oil, so Im trying to talk him into helping me with it. Ive searched before for scrapes and never found one (for honda).
