i one of my sleeves a long time ago, and i was wondering if anyone knew if machine shops can fix that? i figured they might be able to weld it and then hone the bitch out, if thats the case i am going to just use that motor for my build up.

if this was even possible it would be cheaper to just by a new block so find someoen with a used block and then bore that to what you want it to. or get your sleeves replaced.

I did that on a 86mm stock sleeve ls block. works great.Jb weld really did the job.

we had a piston literally melt and broke in so many pieces, the other guys were mad and pissed that the block and piston were no longer good. I stood there and said "eh, jb weld will fix that". They said "what!?" So I whipped out the ole jb weld, jb welded the pieces back together and for the pieces that were lost, I just filled it in with jb weld. Within 20-25 minutes car was running like a champ. I even gave that piston a higher dome for more compression and more power. Dyno'd it on the dyno I had in the closet and it made 23.5 hp more than before, just from that one piston. There was also a noticable increase in the lower mid range, probably because it was the number 2 piston. Since the number 2 is the lower of the mid range of 1-2-3-4. It was a job well done.

i did the same thing but on piston 4 now i know why it picked up on the top end. makes sense now
