'93 to '97 Rollas (USDM) do not have MAF just MAPs.
I had similar problems in my '96 Rolla and I sprayed some wire dryer.
And it cleared up the issue.

BTW when was the last time you changed your sparkplugs and fuel filter?

It was all dry in there, but i changed cap/rotor/wires/plugs.

I will try what you guys suggest when i get home tonight, at school right now. I changed the plugs to some of the normal NGK or whatever (i had the plugs with 4 connectors at the bottom) and with the new plugs (from my vitara D) the car wasn't able to climb up the ramp in the parking structure. Now it stumbles at lower throttle with these plugs. Maybe coil going bad?

I don't think the car has ever seen a fuel filter change. But i did convert it to manual last saturday (when it stumbled i thought it was the tranny getting stuck in between shifts) plus it gets much better gas mileage with a stick.

No toyota expert, but could be wet ignition. Just pull the cap and spray everything in there with WD-40, then put the cap back on and try it. If it only runs like ---- when warmed up, O2 sensor could be bad. I've cleaned them with brake parts cleaner and compressed air. If it's bad can't hurt to try.
