I can agree with both sides... on the one hand, you did in fact break the law, you already admitted to that. Every one has an excuse for why they broke the law but the fact still remains.

On the other hand, the cop can't make you get back in your car! What kind of bull ---- is that? I've taken a few law classes and I'm almost 100% positive that you have to be in your car to get a ticket. The police officer has to pull you over. They can't for example, see you speeding on the high way and then go to your house to give you a ticket.

If I were you I would go to court and not make excuses for breaking the law but really focus in on the fact that the police officer told you to get back into your car etc. If it is in fact the law in your state that you have to be in your car to get a ticket it won't matter that you were breaking the law because the officer broke protocol and therefore any ticket he wrote is invalid.

yes he knows he did something wrong but it how the cop came about it. if the cop would have said something then and there then its legit. But the cop made him GET back in the car so he could bust him. thats the wrong part. Re-read it again.

me and my friend just got pulled over the other day. we were both cruising down a 3 lane road beside each other going 45 mph and a cop pulls up behind us and pulls us over and says we are driving too slow and that we were going 40 mph and were holding up the flow of traffic. me and my friend were definitely both going 45 mph. he said he was worried i was going to side swipe her. and then said ok i know this sounds weird but speed it up. and he let me go.
