You got a ticket for both of those offences, so why are you complaining. Maybe if you actually did have your seatbelt on and your lights on and he gave you a ticket, then I could see why you would be mad.
stop complaining about getting a ticket for breaking the law.
And as far as him telling you to get back into the car, it was probably officer safety (calling it in, writing down your license plate number ect). Maybe he didnt want a clip unloaded on him. THere are crazy ppl out there, so cops are probably taking extra precautions these days

Re: ------ cops
all i'm arguing is that i was out of the car and going into the store. like stealthmode said Theres gotta be somewhere in the law that says you have to be pulled over, rather than having him tell you to get back in your car and roll the window down. i wanna know if there really is cause thats what pissed me off. he could have fliped the lights on and ran my plates or whatever before i was out the car. he's not gonna show up to court cause all the state troopers that give tickets in my area never show up cause i been a few times and they never came so i should argue it and see what happens. the cop isnt there to say anything so i think i would win

Here's what you do:
Call the court and ask for an extension on your court date. In Ca they give you 3, but I don't know in your state. Call them everytime the new court date is close and get another extension. Tell them if you go to court that day you will be fired (you're working under a contract that is up at the end of the month that will allow you to go next month when the contract is up )
Ok, now when you run out of extensions and you just can't get anymore, go to court and plead not guilty. They will give you another court date about a month later where they will invite the cop. Once this court date comes, it's been a good 4-7 months since you got the ticket and chances are that he's not going to remember you/show up.
If he doesn't show up, you walk. Pm me a couple weeks before your court date and I'll come up with a good "case" for you to take in case the cop shows up.

Re: ------ cops
take that shiet to court. he cant prove you didnt have your seatbelt on. even if he said you didnt have your seat belt on you can just say I was about to open the store door when you told me go back into my car. i wasnt going to drive my damn car so no point in the seatbelt. fight it!

I'm pretty sure that if u stayed in the parking lot the whole time and he didn't put on his lights till you got into the parking lot he has no jurisdiction because it is private property and they have to light you up on public property...i'm almost sure that is the way it is

Re: ------ cops
i dont know about your state, but here in washington that wouldnt happen. its against the law for a cop to ticket you for a traffic infraction if your not in your car. thats probably why he said get in your car and roll the window down. now when you go to court, he's clean.
