i have an 89 black top single carbed, the distributer is vacume advance but it has the same bolt pattern as the electronic advance. so my motor is the basterd child of two generations. i'll post pics when rpr is up....

but yeah, that car rips, will never pass emissions but rips none the less.

I own a DOHC ZC and its a nice engine. The parts are a little funky (basically a D16A6 bottom end with a D16A1 head) but it has never been a problem you just need to look at a list to see what car part years/makes are compatable. There is aftermarket support... just not as much as B-Series but its definetly enough to build a fully built ZC you just need to look. Check out thezcr.com for more info on both the SOHC and DOHC ZC's. My DOHC ZC might be for sale (NJ area) as my car was totalled 4 weeks ago but im trying to just keep it.

well we are on the subject lets discuss the ZCG, A friend told me that it is the rarest honda engine and it is pretty much a B16 (1.6 DOHC Vtec) that bolts to a d series tranny. I told him there was no such thing but he said he saw one, anyone else ever hear of suck a thing? This friend is a fairly reliable source too, he know his ---- but I just couldn't believe this one...? Everything I have looked up says a ZCG is just a b16 and nothing about bolting up to a d series tranny...
