Hi people please help me fix my computer

I have firefox 2.0 and it doesn't play audio. I watch videos and listed to flash music online at work and it wont work. I have to use IE and that just sucks. I reloded the sound driver and firefox but its still not working. Computer is a compaq evo desktop with windows xp pro. stock sound card works with everyting else but flash in firefox somebody please help im board as hell at work now

make sure you have installed all the latest plug-ins. That would be a place to start.

^ if that doesnt work, uninstall, download a fresh copy and start from there.

Any difference from 1.5? thats what I have now.

I reloaded firefox nothing. Got all the plugins, even searched google and found a few linux people with the same prob but no solution. Nobody with xp though come on buck help me fix my ----. And 2.0 is just like 1.5.. not much diffrence wish i didnt switch but tried to switch back and it does it with 1.5 now.. so i guess im fucked

mine works fine on my laptop and desktop. it must be a issue with your audio board or buses on your computer. i read you tried reinstalling your sound card and audio plugins so that cant be a issue. wonder if you have your speakers plugged in and unmuted??

is avant better than Firefox? I get no spam/spyware with firefox and i havent reloaded my OS in like 8 months.. got tired of IE ------- up but i just might try avant
