Check the resolution. Is the TV a 720 or 1080?

tv is a 720

feel free to talk to me like a retard, computers arent my thing. I see where to change the refrech rate/ Hz for the monitor (although there is only one choice), how do i do it for the card itself?

HDMI is a brand new phillips cable so i hope thats not it.

almost...with it set at this resolution it doesnt quite fill the screen, and anything higher makes it blurry/shaky. Normally the TV lets me zoom/fill the screen but for some reason with this input it wont let me resize it. Oh well.
