Re: compression tester stuck in head.....(pics)
hahaha i have done that before.
heres what worked for me
while #1 is still in the head put some liquid thread sealer onto #2 (i used the blue locktite i had laying around) and screw it back into #1 as good as you can just to make sure it has a good seal. then wait (smoke a cig/ drink a beer/ or just BS with friedns for a few minutes while it dries) then just unscrew it.
worked liek a flippin charm
you can paypal me whatever you feel for the awsome info. thanks i'll be here all week don't forget to tip your waitress.

Should've just ground down a wooden dowel until it fit/thread in tight enough.
Lessons learned, don't need to thread in the compression tester that far and tighten down the adapter more.
Maybe a peice of piping that's slightly larger than whatever you now need it to fit over might work.

Re: compression tester stuck in head.....(pics)
i havent read the other post but this happened to me ------- twice. the first time my friend was able to get it out a day later. the second time happened a few weeks ago. brand new tester that had been sitting for quit awhile(like 5-10years at least) but still in original paking. well i used it and it got stuck then the rubber part ripped out. so i had both adapters stuck. well the first one i used a scredriver to get it out by jamming it in the whole perfect fit. the second one the whole was bigger so using the same screwdriver and the plastic rubber thing thats not busted off the fiting. i put the rubber end in the whole of the stuck fitting and then jammed the screwdriver in there to. and it unscrewed nicely(even though it was overtighten, the whole reason of getting stuck). thats just how i went about it. the first time we tried just about everything. this time the compressor was busted and was getting pissed so i didnt care what i used as long as i got it out. good luck

ok i just read the rest of what you said and the thread. if none of the screwdriver attempts work there are extracter sockets. im not sure who all makes them but i know snap on makes some. they are look just like a socket but in the inside is for griping on a rounded bolt with its unique style. im not good at describing it lol. its to late. but im sure you understand
