There's nothing welfare about living in the outback of Aus. You can have a shack on the coast, smoke your pot, fish for food, and grow old chilling out and the only thing you need to worry about is the saltwater crocs.

Fantasy land? Reductio ad Absurdum, you can never seem to hold a reasonable argument. That being an argument that isn't incontrovertible, and abides by De Morgan's law.
That is indeed the bottom line, to what happened in that instance, but where is the why?
Why can't you explain why we're in the middle east in the first place, without resorting to ad hominem argument? The only fantasy seems to be the conjecture of your thesis.

would it be different if this had happened in the pacific?
those ships are there to protect commerce through the strait (mostly oil).
why can't you grasp what happened without going into a irrelevant rant about nothing
ships in international waters.

He's right in that if America stuck to it's roots we wouldn't be in this situation. All the bullshit you tack on to supporters of his, being "liberals" or advocates of "pro-choice" and all that cultural bullshit, means jack if you abide by his political stance. He's consistent, he's honest, and he's got values that he sticks to. He's a true American, and I'm not voting for him.
