Haven't played halo other than the occasional game at a friends house for more than a year or so, but that was my game when halo 2 was out...

I can do pretty decent on halo (tapped rank 30s in my prime but haven't been back in years) and when I tried to play COD4 online I was getting killed pretty easily. As soon as I spawned, just running around for a few seconds I would be killed before i even saw someone. Not sure if it was just the weapon choice or map, but I got pwnd.

well, finally had a chance to play briefly with some hmt'ers on halo. it was cool, but after playing cod4 for a while now, i think i'm leaning more towards it. it seems with halo there isn't much strategy involved and people are just running around shooting in every direction. it is pretty chaotic. cod4 can get that way too, but it draws you in to play more because you want to get better upgraded weapons and ----. it really ------- sucked at first, but it isn't so bad once you unlock some stuff. i prefer that you can customize your player for different scenarios and it just seems a lot more realistic. the graphics are certainly better. if you are more of an arcade type gamer, then i'd suggest halo3 over cod4 though.

i just need to find some more peeps that are on cod4 that i can play with, that aren't complete losers.

Get to level 50 in something in Halo and then you'll understand the teamwork. Couple guys on my friends list do the whole MLG thing and have won major $$$ playing video games

Definitely. I don't understand why but everyone I talked to says it's easier to rank on halo 3. Either way, if you're a low rank you're going to play with people that don't know what they're doing, don't use strategy, and run around shooting wildly. Once you get up to the higher ranks, there's still idiots, but there's also more strategy.

I can't say if COD4 has more strategy or not because I haven't played it too much, but from what I can tell it's not much more strategic than Halo, if at all. Graphics on COD4 are better.

It is easier to rank up to about level 30, then unless you have a group of guys you play with consistently it gets a lot harder. Example, my highest rank on my new account is a 40 in team slayer because I haven't played it much. But my level 35 in Big Team Battle is about as high as there is in Halo 3 right now, so I can't find a game. Reason being, to get that high, you need to have a full team of people who know exactly what they and everyone else is doing at every moment in the game. If I actually gave a damn about team slayer, I could have my 50 in a day or two just playing with my friends. I've played guys who got to level 50 in something that involves no strategy like Lone Wolves and completely raped them 1v1, 2v2 and 4v4 with my friends. The game I got my 35 in Big Team we played against four Grade 3 Generals and handed them their *** 3-1 in a Flag game. Skill rank really means nothing though, because a lot of the pro's just play customs, and now I guess the MLG playlist. Gotta get workin on that.

so i just picked up a 360 and it ------- sucks because not only is my bank acct overdrafed, but now my ------- life is ruined because all i do is play xbox and play with myself :1

i'm too poor for Halo 3 (plus i wanted to know more of the storyline), so i picked up halo 2, and PGR 4. PGR 4 is so ------- sick. I'm probably going to pick up halo 3 once i'm done with halo 2. Although at 60 bucks a wack, i need to discipline myself to rent games before i just go out and buy them and find out they suck.

I personally hated Army of 2. But ALLLL of my friends play cod4 and love it. I've played it a few times and its ------- addicting as hell. Its like when halo2 was out and youd sit there n play it forever after those drunk nights
