Re: cod4 ?
:P your either playing at some really small resolution or haven't tried any recent games. Crysis, moh airborne, cod4, hellgate, bioshock any of the newer dx10 compatible games shouldn't be running well on high as most of them don't run well on my system at anything close to the native resolution of my monitor with a far superior graphics card.

Re: cod4 ?
Obviously dx10 games aren't going to run well on a non dx10 card. And no, I'm not running them at a super high resolution 1024x768 works fine for me. My experience with a xfx 7950gtx, is it's not nearly as big as an improvement over the 6800gt as you think it should be. I was sort of disappointed with it, and it will be awhile before I build a dx10 box. I'm not really a huge game ----- and tend to play the same thing for a long time as long as it has a good online community.

Re: cod4 ?
everybody has there own opinion on it. me personally i like console just for the fact that you have a dedicated controller for the games. also nobody has mentioned the fact that after your initial investment on a top of the line pc, you dont absolutley have to replace everything when you upgrade. you can replace 1 or 2 parts at a time to slowly do a complete upgrade that doesnt hurt your wallet as bad. also you have to factor in that no pc is absolutley purpose built to run only games, they all run some kind of os and other system related things. but it all boils down to opinions. its like he honda vs. dsm arguement. there are pros and cons to both. i would rather have both and just share the love between the two.
