I've used brake clean with no problems. I am not advising that you use it I am just stating what worked well for me.

Re:clutch got oil on it, what to do
i had that problem, the oil pan gasket was ------- too tight and blowing oil into the clutch area, and i forgot toput the bearing in on the flywheel and it ------ jacked the input shaft seal.
just clean the clutch off with brake cleaner, wipe it off, allow it to dry then take some sand paper like....180grit and sand it just a little bit to scuff it up.
either have the flywheel resurfaced or sand it a bit too and clean it off w/ brake cleaner
