Re: Updated - Tuner Toys to offer pistons, we have selected our supplier....
Sounds good.I just finished tearing the motor down getting it ready for machining.Anybody thinking about the Tuner Toys rods go for it. I got some today and they look really good.I was a tiny bit skeptical when ordering but they are a excellent quality piece. Finally a answer for building a bottom end on a budget.

We are also offering the SRP standard ring sets with the pistons. We just don't have the part numbers in the store yet. If you need something, hit us up with an email at "Sales@tunertoys.com" or reply here or in our FS post.

tuner toys said that if we get at least 5 sets of the d16a1/zc 9:1 pistons ordered, we can get a group buy going. lets do it!

Re: Updated: See end of thread for Group Buy opportunity for ZC turbo pistons frm TT
Hrm.
GX pistons drop CR, mate to an inexpensive LS rod without having to rebush the small end. Unless going for OMG HORSEPOWER that's what I'd do for a street driven pump gas ZC.

Re: Updated: See end of thread for Group Buy opportunity for ZC turbo pistons frm TT
im doing over 200 hp, and not relying on stock internals to hold it. may not sound like much HP, but i'd rather have upgraded parts in there than stock ones that could break. how much do the gx ones lower compression anyways? remember that the zc/d16a1 head volume is much higher than almost any other d series. i want to have a nice sturdy piston/rod combo with a 9:1 compression ratio.
i already bough my set of TT rods, and i need some nice pistons to match. better safe than sorry. i don't want to have to worry about adding a couple of psi at the track.
