i`ve seen the same mechanic cleaning engine bays at a self car wash so many times, he charge ppl 50 bucks for a "steam clean" 
He cover up only fuse box/alternator/battery/dizy with dirty *** supermarket bags and sock the whole ---- with Gunk engine degreaser, let it sit fot like 15 min. and wash the ---- out of it with high pressure hose at the car wash.
i`ve used those degreaser couple times, it worked good but your whole car will smell like diseal for a week or two.

then you can make it shine by sprayin armor-all, or tire gloss all over it. (make sure the engine is very dry, and cold when doing it. (I worked at a detail shop when I was in highschool)

All those plugs are just to seperate the engine harness from teh ecu harness, and they just slide right inside with teh fuse box, tehn you jsut ziptie them up undere the dash, not much room under there though, it was easy for me though, i dont have ac, so i got the peice for teh crx that replaces teh ac part of the system under the dash, and i had that much more room. Its like my car never had ac, just heat.
