I have a 96 gsR with a catback exhaust, an aem intake, a skunk 2 intake manifold, and a pct ( civic type R ) ecu, and my best friend has a '03 sentra seR with a nismo intake, nismo header, nismo exhaust, nismo short shifter, and every damn time we race from a dig we are dead even through third, but go from a 40 mph roll, and my mad tyte jdm 8500 rpm vtak kicks his *** by about 1 car length, they are equally matched cars, just depends on what you like....

Keep in mind his car is a pig and those nismo parts are ***. If you can get it at the dealership then it's bunk cause you know they wouldn't toss that ---- on there knowing it's gonna add alot more horsepower to jeopardize the engine. Just shiny parts with a Nismo badge on it. I can just imagine how much he paid just to have the nismo name on it intake or the headers or whatever else he got ripped on. Some off the SE-R Vspec's came with Brembo 4 piston caliper but you need them so slow that bloated 4dr down. Plus I hate that they call it a SE-R and it's a damn 4dr. The original SE-R and models after that weren't 4dr but 2dr coupes.

I skipped all replies and even though a nissan ser as more hp than a civic SI a civic SI will out performed and has more potential than a nissan ser even if you keep the civic N/A.

I've driven a stock SI and a stock SER and the only difference was the nissan add better top end, but the si has quicker acceleration, and pulls harder, plus if you plus if you upgrade the si head and ecu you can rev as high as you want to

buddy of mine has an SER... not special enough to have a 6spd.

if its a ser spec v then get that. it has more potential than the si
