Re:chemistry hopefully someone can help me
been awhile since i did this.....
here is a quote.
The amount of substance in grams equal to its atomic mass in grams is called the gram atomic mass. For example, atomic mass of Na is 23, then gram atomic mass of Na is 23 gm. Atomic mass of O is 16, gram atomic mass of O is 16 gm. Gram atomic mass is also known as the gram atomic weight of a substance.
-So we need to know the atomic mass off "O"
-then we also need to know how much Grams make up 1 Liter.
-Then multiply the answer By 2 (becasue Oxygen atoms exist as O2 in the air)
----------------------------------------
please dont quote me...
-----------------------------------------i might be wrong, but
kwik I need this in 5 minutes. I have to submit it before 11.59 how many grams of O2 are in a liter.
my question is............
In a liter of what?

you guys are good, where were you at 11:55 last night :P
I still haven't bothered figuring it out yet. I really should get started on studying, got a big test coming up.
Chingro, how many grams of O2 are in one liter of 02. Basically how many grams does one liter of O2 weigh.

Unbalanced reaction:
H2 + O2 H2O
Balanced reaction, undetermined coefficients:
aH2 + bO2 cH20
reactants products
hydrogen atoms: 2a 2c
oxygen atoms: 2b c
Therefore 2a = 2c (that is, a=c), and 2b=c.
Correct, balanced equation:
2H2 + O2 2H2O
Balanced equation, but coefficients not whole numbers:
H2 + 1/2O2 H20
This reaction is balanced, but its coefficients are not least whole numbers:
4H2 + 2O2 4H20
A mathematical equation:
x+2x=3x
A chemical equation identifies the starting and finishing chemical as reactants and products:
reactants products
Example (combustion of propane)
C3H8 + 5O2 3CO2 + 4H20
A chemical equation is balanced when it reflects the conservation of mass and charge.
