lmao, no dude. the jimmy has a belt driven fan. and it leaches hp off ur engine like a ----------er. by taking off the belt driven fan. and replace it with an electric. thats just one less thing running off the belt. and inturn. you free up alot of hp.

ranger has only 100hp. while my my jimmy is rated at 160, and the 1994 jimmy i took the fan off of once was a 200hp model.
but i did notice a big difference when i took the fan off of my 94. and ran 2 small electric fans instead of a big one. plus the engine bay runs alot cooler.. i dont know why the fan couldnt be more efficient.

the fan on the jimmy/blazer/s10 is HUGE and when u try to spin it freely by hand it takes alot of effort. the jimmy is a 4.3liter and the belt does look like it takes alot of hp. i wonder if there are any dyno charts.

you don want an engine driven fan to spin too freely by hand, otherwise it wont spin from the engine's rotation

(i didnt do it for the gain) yes upgrading ur ignition will help alot! and then more fuel will be good, u can then burn more efficeintly.. but manythings have to happen to see any real diff. in performance. im sorry but man u got ripped off!

WOW!! i guess i can drop out of school now, and go open my own shop!! i now know the secret to horsepower!!!! elec. fans!!! ooooo damn!! hey how much horse did that belt look like it took up?? and by the way, my ranger had 150 horse and 170 torque stock, and belive it or not i saw a gain when i did intake and exhust. and that only cost me $50, how did u pay for the "supercharger" ??

yeah, common knowledge, but how much does that fan rob? half a horse, 1 horse? maybe u got a fucked up water pump and and it robed 10 horse... are u gonna notice the feel in accel? will the idle smooth out sooo much that damn!! it sure is an idling fool!!! we are talking about adding horse power. yeah u got a real supercharger and added some real numbers, now u want to save that 1 horse.. ok. but u got a completly stock vehicle, and your poor so u want to add horse power cheap, do u use some common sense and improve volumetric efficiency? or go nit picking some things that really arent going show any gain? yeah u save the drain on the engine, thats part of the reason why i removed mine, part of the reason for removing all the a/c components was to save weight, remove that drain on the engine to. but to say that damn! id smoke u, yeah i got an elec. cooling fan! it is abserd to think ur going to have high performance from removing a 1 horse drain from the engine, yeah if u could do it 50 times... then it would be a gaing.. but i like power steering, i like having an ignition system, and i really enjoy haveing a cool engine.
