I've done the same thing on a lot of auctions. Charge $10 shipping ans .05 cost.
I list the shipping clearly in the description though, I even say that I am trying to skip out on final value fees, but eBay has never done anything.

eBay fees rape sellers. Only a dumbass would buy it thinking it would be 1 dollar plus 5 shipping. Personally if I see a good item at a fantastic price, first thing I do is look at shipping to determine if it is even worth it.

That works out great for the seller, even if the buyer returns the item, as there is no gaurantee stated in the auction of refunding the shipping fee.
So they sell an item for $1, receive $300 for it with shipping, then when the customer returns the unit, they refund their $1. That's a smoking deal for any seller.
Kinda sucks for the customer.

I think it's just plain gay. If they think the listing fees are too high...uhhh maybe they shouldn't use ebay. Now ebay is going to rebuttal by considering the shiping costs as part of the listing fees and people with heavy items are gonna get fucked and then start offering free shipping and adding the shiping amount to the item's price.
